Montessori School of Mauldin

Infant & Toddler Program

Infant – Age 2

Infants

In the infant room… you may hear calming music or quiet voices reading stories. You may see a lively game of peek-a-boo or a special project being created with tiny handprints. Our experienced teachers know just what to do to provide a safe, loving environment in which your baby can develop, grow and explore. Stimulating our infants with one-on-one attention and providing learning experiences, even at this age, will provide you with the peace of mind you need when your child is not with you.

Toddlers

As children move through toddlerhood… they begin to learn everything, from respecting other people and property to recognizing their own names and identifying colors. We help enrich toddlers’ language and vocabulary skills through daily activities such as group time and simple conversations between friends and teachers. Our toddlers will develop their creative side through dramatic play, art, block building and more.

Potty training is also introduced and encouraged in the toddler program environment.

We strive to create an atmosphere where the children are able to start making choices, develop self-help skills and move from parallel play to cooperative play. Those first friendships are very important and help make school a fun place for toddlers to be.
